What you’ll need

  • 250 g milk powder (the original names Nestlé Nido)
  • 125 g butter, over 80% fat
  • 100 ml water
  • 40 g cocoa
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar (packet size not specified)
  • 60 g macadamia nuts
  • 10 g raisins
  • A pinch of salt
  • Sugar — quantity missing from the original

Let’s make it

  1. Heat the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and water, stirring until dissolved. The original says to cook for five minutes once white foam appears, then remove from the heat.
  2. Stir in the partially melted butter. The method also mentions vanilla pulp, without an amount.
  3. Sift the milk powder and cocoa together. Quickly stir them into the syrup before it sets.
  4. Mix in the nuts and raisins. The method also mentions hazelnuts, without an amount.
  5. Line a mould with plastic wrap, pour in the mixture and smooth the surface. Leave in a cool place, outside the refrigerator, for 3–4 hours.
  6. Cut into squares with a slightly moistened knife.

Ingredients: 250g Milchpulver (Nestle Nido) 125g Butter (>80% Fett) 100ml Wasser 40g Kakao 2 Vanille Zucker 60g Macadamia Nüsse 10 g Rosinen Prinsen Salz How To : Place the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and water in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until the sugar has completely melted. When you notice that a white foam has formed on the surface, count 5 minutes, no more, and turn off the heat. After turning off the heat, add the partially melted butter and vanilla pulp. Stir until the butter is completely incorporated into the sugar syrup. Mix the milk powder with the cocoa and sift together. Gradually stir the milk powder and cocoa mixture into the syrup, stirring constantly. ( Be quick so it doesn't harden .) Once the milk powder and cocoa are incorporated, add the nuts, hazelnuts, and raisins and stir with a wooden spoon or by hand. Cover the mold with plastic wrap and pour in the chocolate. Smooth it out nicely and leave it in a cool place, not in the refrigerator , for 3-4 hours. Cut the homemade chocolate into cubes with a knife with a slightly moistened blade and enjoy it with great appetite. Enjoy your meal. TFG
